Star of Yellowstone Supports Local Land Trust

Luke Grimes, Star of Yellowstone, supports local land trust

Why do outsiders continue to relocate to the Bitterroot Valley?  Why are locals that have lived here for a long time so protective of their way of life and legacy?  And how can new residents and people born and raised here work together to preserve the land and natural beauty of our communities?

These are some of the issues raised by a recent "Ravalli Republic" newspaper article with Luke Grimes, one of the popular stars of the renowned series "Yellowstone".  Luke and his wife have become permanent residents of Ravalli County and they are both interested in preserving the unique way of life here.

Grimes has also entered into a partnership with the Bitterroot Land Trust to publicize their efforts to persuade more local landowners to place their properties in legal entities called conservation easements that will protect the land from future development and hence preserve the agricultural nature of these family farms and ranches.

Through a sponsorship with Carhartt Work Apparel, Grimes and the local families that have created land trusts are featured in a commercial video that highlights the special nature of where we live.  You can access that video here Luke Grimes Carthart Video About the Bitterroot Valley

FUN FACT: Our very own Heather Lupton, Broker and Owner of Aspen Grove Realty, helped the Lewis family purchase their ranch in Stevensville, Montana in 2020 as their buyer's agent. This ranching family is featured in the video with Luke Grimes.
